Did you know that there is a castle in Kenya? A British lord built it during the colonial period in hopes of impressing a young woman. It is quite a fascinating story. The Lord Egerton also built an agricultural college in Kenya which is now part of a university named in his honor.
Building Dreams
Joseph is a proud alumni of Akiba School and is currently studying agricultural economics at the university. Recently, Joseph invited his former teachers and colleagues at Akiba to pay him a visit. The trip provided a chance for the Akiba students to learn about academic programs and also to see that despite their humble environment, Akiba students can succeed at some of the nation’s top universities. One of the highlights of their trip, visiting Lord Egerton’s castle.
